Prior to 2015, I was a regular goer of group fitness classes, had dabbled with a PT, tried every diet going but never managed to lose the weight I wanted to lose. I was at a cross roads unsure which direction to take, so I contacted Richard and started working with him.
Richard’s approach was instantly different and refreshing – my only goal was to be the strongest, slimmest version of myself possible, and it was clear he needed a blank sheet of paper with me to help me achieve this goal.
Richard completely turned the table on my routine and fitness regime, which was intimidating at first. He taught me how to exercise effectively, manage my food intake to feed my body appropriately, and helped me understand the impact that stress was having on my body and its ability to change.
Richard was incredibly supportive, and understood that my busy life could often impact my routine. We set achievable goals, and Richard used his knowledge and experience to help tailor a very “Anne specific” plan.
Losing three stone was not easy. It took dedication, will power, and a lot of hard work! Achieving a goal like this requires change and sacrifice, plus the guidance of a true professional with the right approach.
I cannot recommend Richard highly enough – the effort you put in will be matched by his enthusiasm to rise to a challenge and help you achieve your goals!

#MIDLIFECHANGE
As many people will realise, what you could do when you were younger isn’t necessarily something that you can do when you start hitting the dreaded middle age. So, starting to try and change the bad habits that got me into the shape I was in when I started working with Richard, was going to take a different type of effort and motivation and that’s exactly what Richard is there to help with.
The workouts are tailored to your individual needs, and ensure that any weak spots are protected (I have had weak knees since childhood) so the fact that everything was low impact to ensure that I didn’t get injured was a godsend. That’s not to say you don’t hurt when you first start! I ached in muscles that I never knew I had, but the best part of that was that I was now using muscles that I hadn’t for years!
After the first couple of weeks you begin to cope with the new activities you have started to embrace, and begin to look forward to increasing limits and pushing yourself in ways you didnt think were possible. And this is possible with the motivation that Richard provides. He’s constantly there to push you to be the best you can, and encourage you when the times get tough. He also helped explained what I should and shouldn’t eat, but more importantly explained why as well, as opposed to just telling me what was now of the menu. And once you understand, it’s easier to adapt your diet to ensure that you are eating the right foods at the right times.
Losing weight is never as easy as a magical pill, or a 30 second work out, but with Richards guidance and motivation, it’s not as hard as it could be. I would certainly recommend Richard to friends and family (I already have!) but also to anyone who is looking for that extra lift in the battle.
